ARZ Ice-Cream have continued their factory upgrading and development but now with an old production line which had to be retrofitted with new Motion Control system; as the old was obsolete and very hard to maintain and debug in case of an emergency.

PCS have offered Motion Control Solution based on SIMOTION D and Sinamics modules along with Simotics motors. In addition to ET200SP as I/Os and Comfort HMI, PCS was able to implement the retro-fitting of the machine with limitless possibilities to adjust any parameter required to be able to obtain flexibility and precision in production.

The project have been executed on part of the machine while having the other part in production to obtain minimum downtime during the peak season.The scope of work included electrical cabinet design and assembly, system and functional analysis, programming, commissioning and testing.

With the new installed system, ARZ can now focus more on ice cream production and its quality.

SAQQA & KHOUDARY Co. Ltd. has chosen PCS to supply, program and commission the automation part for 4 booster stations situated in Gaza for Attarah, Nuseirat, Berkah and Ma’an sites. The scope of work includes:

-PLC and HMI and networking

-VFDs for the boosters pumps

The solution is based on Simatic S7-1500 CPU and ET200SP for hot-swapping and higher availability of the system. HMI Comfort panels are distributed on site to allow operator monitoring and control of the system.

We have also provided the state-of-the-art programming SIEMENS laptops (M5 Field PGs); rugged laptop with pre-installed software to allow easy and fast modification on the system which is completely based on TIA Portal.

As for the VFDs they are connected via the SCALANCE industrial switch to the control system. The proposed programming of HMI and PLC features object-oriented program to allow the easy creation and modification of faceplates and processes, below is an example of a view used in this project. 

ARZ Ice-Cream have constructed a new state-of-the-art factory in Nablus/Palestine where they manufacture broad array of ice-cream products ranging from ice lollies to cones and even big family size boxes. PCS have equipped the factory with automated system for preparation of all ice-cream types using SIEMENS technology from Industry Automation.

The installation of the new system and user interface not only simplifies smooth operation but it also permits new and complex mixtures to be prepared easily and with precision to assure a constant excellence in quality of the Ice-Cream.
